Qualifying is particularly Antworten

TROIS-RIVIERES, Que. – With the Dumoulin family celebrating their 45th season of racing, it was second-generation driver L.P. Dumoulin who raced to victory in the 45th running of the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivieres Sunday in NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 competition. Dumoulin was able to get past Kerry Micks just before the halfway point of the race and hold off a furious charge by Andrew Ranger late in the closing laps to win the JuliaWine.com Le 50 Tours at the 1.53-mile temporary course through the streets of Trois-Rivieres. It was the second Canadian Tire Series victory of the season for Dumoulin, a native of Trois-Rivieres, and fourth of his career. Dumoulin and Ranger were battling on the first attempt at a green-white-checkered finish when the caution flag was displayed after an accident between pole sitter Marc Antoine Camirand and Xavier Coupal on Lap 51. The accident sent Coupal into a series of barrel rolls that forced NASCAR officials to display the red flag while safety personnel worked to get Coupal out of the car. Coupal was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation after the accident. Due to time constraints and the amount of clean up needed, the race was called after the two-car accident on Lap 51. Ranger finished second with Micks third. Dumoulins brother, J.F. Dumoulin, was fourth and J.R. Fitzpatrick completed the top five. Jeff Lapcevich, Alex Guenette, Jason Hathaway, Noel Dowler and Joey McColm brought home the top 10. The JuliaWine.com Le 50 Tours was seen live Sunday on RDS2, and will debut on TSN in Canada on Aug. 16 at 1 p.m. ET. L.P. Dumoulin holds on to his points lead over Fitzpatrick as the series returns to action on Aug. 16 with the Wilson Equipment 300 at Riverside International Speedway in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. The Canadian Tire Series has visited the high-banked .333-mile oval each year since 2007. Jason Hathaway is the defending race winner. Shin-Soo Choo Jersey .NYCFC confirmed to The Associated Press on Saturday that this week Lampard signed a contract to start in July — midway through the new teams first season in MLS. Prince Fielder Rangers Jersey . New York then missed its next six shots and scored only two points the rest of the night. The Los Angeles Clippers defence and the Knicks general ineptitude both played a role in the unsurprising finish to a meeting of two teams headed in opposite directions. https://www.cheaprangersbaseball.com/203...ey-rangers.html. I wondered how NHL coaches would feel about a playoff schedule that allowed them to open a best-of-seven series on the road, which many claim to favour, yet still gave them the precious home-ice edge for a seventh game. Jon Matlack Rangers Jersey . Those cheers seemed more special this time because the captains run on Broadway could soon be over. The adoration surely sounded much nicer to Callahan than all the recent trade talk. Kolby Allard Rangers Jersey . His second visit, not so much. Roark (7-5) allowed four runs on 10 hits and one walk over six innings in a 7-2 setback in front of several friends and family members, as the Cubs snapped his personal streak of four consecutive victories on Friday.SONOMA, Calif. -- Will Power won the IndyCar pole at Sonoma Raceway on Saturday, putting the overall points leader in prime position for his championship chase. Power turned a lap in 1 minute, 17.4126 seconds on the winding course at the base of wine country. Hell start in front Sunday when he attempts to win the race for the fourth time in five years. The Australian broke his own track record in the first qualifying heat, turning a lap in 1:17.2393. He has won four of his 36 career poles at Sonoma along with his three race victories, yet he claims no special knowledge of the tough course. "To me, the track condition changes here all the time," Power said. "You dont know what youre going to get. I felt confident with my car going into the Fast Six, but I think ... if Helio didnt make mistakes with his lap, he would have been very close and tough to beat." Josef Newgarden matched his career-best qualifying performance by finishing second, with Scott Dixon third and James Hinchcliffe fourth. While Powers Team Penske Chevrolet performed just as well as expected, his two closest rivals for the overall points championship had disappointments. Helio Castroneves, who traails teammate Power by 40 points, finished sixth.dddddddddddd Simon Pagenaud, who sits third in the overall points standings, qualified in 15th place. Qualifying is particularly important at Sonoma. No driver starting outside the top five has won the race since IndyCar arrived at the track in 2005. The 12 turns on the 2.385-mile road course make any passing difficult, particularly when swirling winds hit the north end of San Francisco Bay. "Its definitely less pressure starting up front, just for the fact that youre not in and amongst the action," Power said. "I feel it is a very track position race. It has been in the past. Unless something strange happens with strategy, its (about) putting ourselves in the best possible position to win the race." IndyCar had a compressed two-day schedule in Sonoma with no practice sessions Friday, although many teams tested on the course earlier this month. The teams had two practice sessions Saturday before qualifying. Whats more, Team Penske travelled straight from Milwaukee to Northern California instead of returning all the way home to North Carolina, forcing the team to prepare its cars on the fly this week.
