Each week, well take a look at some top performers from the CFL, with an eye to looking ahead to some matchups that could be favourable for TSN Fantasy Football, CFL Edition, presented by Joseph Abboud. Here are some of the best from Week One and some to watch in Week Two: TOP PERFORMERS Anthony Allen, RB, Saskatchewan (176 YDS, 2 TD, 30 touches vs. Hamilton) - Powerfully-built back burst onto the scene in his CFL debut, after a couple of years in the NFL, playing 21 games with the Baltimore Ravens. Not likely to duplicate those numbers week after week, but expectations will be significantly higher after that start. Drew Willy, QB, Winnipeg (19-for-27, 308 YDS, 4 TD, 1 INT vs. Toronto) - The 28-year-old quarterback had shown promise in limited action over the past two seasons, completing 68.7% of his passes for 1182 yards, nine touchdowns and five interceptions in 147 pass attempts, but Willy controlled the season-opener against Toronto and, since this is a quarterbacks league, Willys play gives the Blue Bombers reason for optimism, which isnt the easiest thing coming off a 3-15 season. Adarius Bowman, WR, Edmonton (9 REC, 105 YDS, 1 TD) - A big target who is a couple of years removed from his only 1,000-yard season, Bowman had a big game against B.C., and his fourth-quarter touchdown proved to be the difference in the game. With Fred Stamps kept under wraps, the Eskimos needed Bowman to step up, and he did. PLAYERS TO WATCH IN WEEK TWO Henry Burris, QB, Ottawa - Hes older and starting for an expansion team, but Smiling Hank also led the CFL in passing yards last season, by a pretty sizeable margin. The Redblacks are just getting started and there will likely be some tough stretches along the way, but its entirely conceivable that Burris could have a big day throwing the ball against the Blue Bombers in Week Two. Nic Grigsby, RB, Winnipeg - As much as the Redblacks are something of an unknown quantity as an expansion team, its probably worth taking a look at players going up against them, and the Blue Bombers running back had a terrific start to the season, gaining 139 yards from scrimmage on 23 touches against Toronto. Can he do it again? Chris Getzlaf, SB, Saskatchewan - While the Roughriders didnt have to open up the passing game too much in Week One, and Getzlaf had a modest two catches for 42 yards against Hamilton, they go up against an Argonauts defence that was shredded by Willy in Week One. Getzlaf, who was bothered with a quad injury in camp, ranked fifth in the league with 1,045 receiving yards last season and could be the prime target if Riders QB Darian Durant has to air it out a little more. Rusty Staub Astros Jersey .com) - Pittsburgh Steelers running back LeVeon Bell, Baltimore Ravens linebacker Elvis Dumervil and New England Patriots punter Ryan Allen were selected as the AFCs top players for Week 14 of the NFL season. Fake Astros Jerseys .During the week, McCoy told reporters he respected Hoyer for his intelligence, athleticism and how he conducts himself on and off the field. This wasnt an act, some attempt at psyching out Hoyer. https://www.cheapastros.com/2173o-michae...sey-astros.html. - Chris Davis hit a two-run double, scoring Nelson Cruz in his Orioles debut in Baltimores 9-7 win over to the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday. Cy Sneed Jersey . Goodell said in an ESPN Radio interview Monday (http://es.pn/1gkbauy ) that participants played harder and made the game very competitive. Goodell says he had fun watching the game Sunday and thinks fans did, too. Martin Maldonado Astros Jersey . After a tight first half, the Croatians took command in Reykjavik after Skulason was dismissed for a professional foul in the 51st minute, but couldnt find a way past Iceland goalkeeper Hannes Halldorsson and his packed defence. Eduardo had a weak shot cleared away from near the goalline after barely a minute for Croatia, whose substitute Ivica Olic forced a fine reaction save from Halldorsson in the 55th.WASHINGTON - With a repeated, not-so-subtle use of the word intent, Washington Redskins coach Jay Gruden launched another spate of suspense Monday concerning Robert Griffin III, this time over whether the quarterback would keep the starting job for next weeks game.Asked several different ways whether Griffin will start against the Indianapolis Colts, Gruden hedged each time, citing the need to review the struggles of the passing game before making a decision.Right now, we have every intent for Robert, Gruden said. But well look at the tape and make our evaluations here shortly.Gruden wasnt as hard on Griffin as a week earlier, but the facts speak for themselves. The Redskins (3-8) are 0-3 since Griffin returned from an ankle injury and have scored only one touchdown in each of the last two games. He is 4-14 as a starter since the start of the 2013 season.Following a conservative game plan after a terrible outing the week before, Griffin completed 11 of 19 passes for 106 yards and was sacked five times in Sundays 17-13 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. He has been sacked 16 times in his last three games, more than Kirk Cousins and Colt McCoy were sacked in their six starts combined. Third downs continue to be a problem: The Redskins are 1 for 41 when its third-and-10-or-more this season. We cant attribute it all to Robert, Gruden said. He is the quarterback, though, so well have to look at every avenue and figure out where we can improve. The first-year coach might have to resolve the dilemma of playing to win the next game vs. playing for the future of the franchise. McCoy, who had won two straight games before Griffin returned, might give the Redskins their best chance to beat the Colts, but theres the argument that Griffin needs to keep playing to prove whether he can operate something akin to a conventional NFL passing game.We have a 24-year old kid who has not had a lot of these concepts thrown at him, Gruden said. And youd think we got it all sorted out, but he hasnt seen these concepts against different coverages all the time. Hes still in a growing process, he really is. He wasnt perfect in the game, theres some things he couldve done a lot better, but theres some things our left tackle couldve done better, our centre, our right guard, our wide receivers.dddddddddddd Everybody has a little hand in the mess in the passing game yesterday. That said, Gruden kept opening the possibility that a change at quarterback might be necessary. We have some issues, we just have to hone in on them and ... come up with a plan thats conducive to winning with the quarterback that we feel good about moving forward, Gruden said. To have 100 yards or 80 yards passing is unheard of this day and age with the receivers we have, and we have to figure out something. Its fair to say Griffin received a disproportionate share of the blame for some of the earlier losses because the entire team wasnt playing well. On Sunday, most of it the issues were his.The Redskins had the elements for an upset. The defence forced three turnovers and allowed only 17 points despite running out of cornerbacks. The special teams won the field position game, largely because of an impressive day from punter Tress Way. Alfred Morris ran for 100 yards for the first time this season. That left the focus on Griffin and the passing game.It didnt help that rookie Morgan Moses was making his first NFL start at left tackle — he was directly responsible for two sacks — but it got to the point that speedster DeSean Jackson was returning punts in part because Jackson wasnt seeing the ball much on offence. At least, unlike last week, Griffins postgame remarks left little wiggle room for controversy or misinterpretation. He played it mostly straight, saying he needs to play better and find ways to make those big plays happen, no matter whats going on.But its not 100 per cent certain hell get another chance next week.If we think that somebody else is better suited to help us get a victory against Indianapolis, well make that decision, said Gruden, who then took note of the time. Right now, today, at 3:15, we feel that Roberts that guy.Notes: LB Adam Hayward (right knee fracture) will have surgery and was placed on injured reserve. ... CB Tracy Porter is expected to be sidelined several weeks with an AC joint separation in his right shoulder.___AP NFL websites: www.pro32.ap.org and www.twitter.com/AP_NFL___Follow Joseph White on Twitter: http://twitter.com/JGWhiteAP ' ' '
